His hair is rendered in crimson with a wash of gold over top, calling in his flame associations. A massive snake winds its way around him, hissing into his face, representing the snake which Skadi hangs above his head, endlessly dripping venom onto his face. His wife, Sigyn, usually holds a bowl above his head to catch this venom, but has here stepped away to empty her full bowl. In these moments, the venom finally reaches Loki, causing him to thrash in his bounds: this was what the folk of the time understood to be the cause of earthquakes.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe offer this statue to those who work with Loki, honoring the suffering this deity has gone through. Loki has survived more than anyone should be asked to, and this statue is a symbol of that.
