Siren’s Shield (mother of pearl and scallop):

Our Siren’s Shield scrying mirrors are lovingly crafted from vintage frames, working with the spirit of the frame to rebirth it into a partner in divination. Each mirror works  under the auspices of the Siren, with oceanic materials/symbolism that anchor the Siren’s energy. These mirrors are fond of divining alongside the Siren herself as well as other goddesses of the sea, especially Sea Mothers, like Rán and Aphrodite. They show a preference for scrying into concerns that the Siren has an affinity for, such as:

• The relationships between two people (be it love, hate, or jealousy), seen as through the lens of connection, as the ocean connects all land
• The lessons of the tides: when to give and when to take, when to attract and when to set boundaries, the push/pull of the world and relationships that surround us
• Il malocchio, the evil eye, caused by jealousy and the connection between two people souring

We have two styles available: Mother of Pearl and Scallop.

• Mother of Pearl features a golden metal frame with a mother of pearl inlay; it is 5.25x7.25 inches and the scrying surface measures 4.5x6.5 inches.

Scallop features white metal frame with scallop shells in the corners; it is 7.25x9.25 inches and the scrying surface measures 4.75x6.75 inches.

All our scrying mirrors are prepared magically and with intention throughout each step of the crafting process. We begin preparing our materials by cleansing each element with a hand-blended mix of purifying waters. Once the scrying surface has been prepared, it is first marked with a handcrafted bindrune to promote psychic clarity and protection. This bindrune is carefully blended into the deep black of the scrying mirror using 3 separate layers of paint. This ensures an evenly black surface while infusing the mirror with the magic of the number 3, known for its mystical properties, and gently diffusing the magic of the bindrune throughout the entire scrying surface. Once each element has been lovingly prepared and assembled, every mirror is washed with a tea for increased psychic clarity and protection made from hand-blended mixture of herbs centering around Mugwort.
