Smoke and Snakes - Loki's Rosary
Smoke and Snakes - Loki's Rosary
The Smoke and Snakes rosary is handcrafted in devotion to Loki, the Mother-Father of Monsters of the North. This rosary is made with sections of 9 smoky topaz beads separated by dragon's vein agate, all strung on glittering gold-tone chain. It features an arrow-head cross piece filled with mistletoe leaf and berries and finishes with a gold snake pendant.
Smoky topaz is reminiscent of the smoke of Muspelheim and fire itself, which Loki is often linked with, while the number 9 is a deeply sacred number in Heathen practices. Loki is closely tied with snakes, from his child Jormungandr to the snake that drips poison onto him when he is bound below the earth, inspiring both the snake pendant and the dragon's vein agate in this rosary. The arrow-head is our rendition of the mistletoe arrow Loki crafts to kill Baldr.
The section of this rosary that fits over the head to be worn around the neck is 26.5 inches in length to cross piece, while the vertical hanging section drops 8 inches from the top of the cross piece.
There are a variety of metals included in this piece, including: lead and nickel free gold-tone alloy, as well as gold plated iron, brass, and stainless steel. These metals can tarnish with use, though this can be avoided with care. To avoid tarnishing, avoid contact with liquids whenever possible and let any cosmetics, lotions, or perfumes/colognes dry completely before putting on your necklace. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Keeping your jewelry in a sealed container, such as a jewelry box or plastic bag, can prevent tarnishing by limiting exposure to air, sunlight, heat, and moisture. This is best done if air is pushed out of any plastic bag before sealing and with something included to remove moisture, such as a silica pack or anti-tarnish strip. This is not an exhaustive list of anti-tarnish measures, nor are these measures a guarantee that tarnishing will not occur when worn.
The necklace measures 26.5 inches to the cross piece to fit easily over the head. The cross piece is 8 inches.

Prayer Card
Our Loki prayer card is handmade in devotion to Loki, Mother-Father of Monsters. The front features vintage art of a dragon stamped in red. Dragons and snakes are common features of Loki’s myths, while the art shows hints of the older Urnes style–the art style of the Urnes Snakes, which is a common symbol for Loki in current practice.
