Our Stellar Fortuna statue is handmade from real bonded alabaster and is painted by hand by your local trickster spirits. Fortuna, Roman goddess of Fate, Luck, and Fortune, known to the Greeks as Tyche, is depicted here with her traditional cornucopia overflowing with coins that have piled at her feet. Her black hair, the color of rich, fertile soil, is topped with a golden crown and frames the golden blindfold that ensures she treats all the same. The coins at her feet give way to the Primordial Waters of Fate behind her. She is known to steer fate with her boat rudder; this element is represented in the stars covering her gown. She is garbed in the night sky and its stars that, in many traditions, can be read to glean insight into Fate. She charts a course through the Primordial Waters of Fate by the stars she is clothed in–a course that manifests into the golden coins at her feet from the Waters behind. This statuette is a lovely crowning addition to any altar in her name and a perfect representation for those just beginning to get to know this ancient goddess.
