Our Aphrodite Epitymbidia prayer card honors She upon the Graves, a funerary aspect of Aphrodite. The front depicts Aphrodite leaning against a guiding lamp post, ready to help people navigate their final journey to the Underworld. The back features a prayer written by your local tricksters calling upon this aspect of the Lady as she was seen in ancient cemeteries. She was the kindly last face seen before taking our final journey, who provides care and comfort along the path to the Underworld. As she journeys with those who pass, so too does she comfort those who survive. She too knows that deep love comes with deep loss, as every year she loses her beloved Adonis to the Underworld. She shares our grief as she shares our love, helping the grieving and the grieved alike heal after loss.
