Our Prayer Card dedicated to Aphrodite was created by both of your local trickster spirits working directly with the Lady Herself to ensure she is depicted in a way she approves of. The front features an illustration of Lady Aphrodite with her symbology interwoven throughout, while the back features a prayer composed in her honor; both the illustration and prayer are the creation of Trickster's Apothecary and are not available for not available for use or sale elsewhere. This card is inspired by the saint prayer cards that are popular in some areas where Aphrodite was previously worshipped, such as Italy.

This Prayer Card is devoted to Aphrodite Antheia: Aphrodite the Blooming or Aphrodite the Friend of Flowers. In this aspect, Aphrodite is closely associated with the vegetative cycle; in particular, with both Blooming and Withering. The primary symbol we work with in connection with Aphrodite Antheia is the Rose. While the Greeks primarily associate the Rose with Beauty, the Romans associated the Rose with both death and rebirth. As is done with tarot cards, we used different forms of symbolism to incorporate these themes into this Prayer Card.

The illustration features Aphrodite Antheia in a purple Greek chiton standing in an open scallop shell filled with rippling rosy water, styled after shallow water that appears pink at sunset. In her outstretched hand is a rose with thorns wrapping up her arm without a drop of blood being spilled, as they are a natural extension of her. She is silhouetted by streaks of sunlight over the sea and framed by Greco-Roman columns with a rose motif in the upper corner.

This Prayer Card is 4x2.75in and printed on sturdy gloss paper.

All facets of this prayer card, including the illustration, border, and prayer, are the original work of Trickster's Apothecary. None of these elements are available for personal or professional use, including resale in any capacity. We DO NOT grant permission for our art or prayers to be removed from the original context they are shared in: the prayer card seen above.
