Our Light in the Darkness necklace is handcrafted in honor of Hekate, Mother of Witches and Goddess of the Crossroads. This necklace calls in Hekate Phosphorus, Hekate Lightbringer, who holds fiery Torches aloft at the crossroads to illuminate the path. Like the stars sacred to her mother, Hekate is a shining light in the dark. When the path forward seems lost in darkness and obscurity, Hekate is there to light the way and guide us down the path best suited for our needs. This necklace is handmade with gold tone stainless steel and black lava rock beads. The center pendant features the strophalos, one of Hekate's sacred symbols, etched into gold tone stainless steel. On either side of the necklace there are 7 hand-wrapped black lava rock beads, with the central bead capped on either side with gold, representing her light shining in the dark. The chain is sturdy gold-tone stainless steel figaro chain with a lobster clasp in the back.

This necklace is made using primarily gold-tone stainless steel, which is tarnish resistant and can withstand greater exposure to water, sunlight, and heat without damage. However, it is possible for these metals to tarnish with prolonged use; this can be avoided with care. To avoid tarnishing, avoid contact with liquids whenever possible and let any cosmetics, lotions, or perfumes/colognes dry completely before putting on your necklace. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Keeping your jewelry in a sealed container, such as a jewelry box or plastic bag, can prevent tarnishing by limiting exposure to air, sunlight, heat, and moisture. This is best done if air is pushed out of any plastic bag before sealing and with something included to remove moisture, such as a silica pack or anti-tarnish strip.
