Pan Greek God Rosary / Prayer Beads

Our Pan of the Wilds rosary honors Pan, the Greek god of the Wilderness. This rosary is handmade, with each bead hand-wrapped with love and intention. This rosary is designed around the mountains Pan calls home, from their grounded, sturdy quality to their lush, ever-growing foliage. Wear this rosary to stay grounded as you grow during your day and pray with it to deepen your connection with Pan.

Each rosary section features matte unakite and lava rock, calling in the sturdy foundation of the mountains Pan calls home and the lush foliage that blankets those peaks. These sections feature 2 lava rock beads, embodying the foundation of the mountain, framed on either side by 2 unakite beads embodying the foliage that covers the mountains, for a total of 6 beads in each section. The number 6 was chosen for its association with wildness and rule-breaking, both of which being sacred to Pan. There are 4 of these sections with an additional vertical section; 4 was chosen for its connection with stability and endurance, much like the mountains Pan calls home. Between each section is a walnut wood bead framed by gold-plated hematite. Walnut wood was chosen for its connection with witchcraft, which Pan is often the patron of. Hematite was chosen for its grounding qualities. The center cross piece is made from a vintage Avon brooch, with pin removed for safety, depicting acorns rendered with glass pearls. Pan has many connections with the ocean and its landlocked cousins, sacred springs; this connection is honored in the pearls themselves. Acorns embody the potential for growth nurtured by wildness so close to Pan's essence. The pendant itself shows a lovingly rendered goat, Pan's sacred animal, in a copper tone frame. 

Due to the vintage nature of the components included, this rosary is one of a kind, and cannot be replicated. If it calls to you, be sure to snag it, as there will not be another one made available. 

This rosary measures 23.5 inches in the portion designed to be worn around the neck and 12.5 inches from the top of the crosspiece to the bottom of the pendant.

There are a variety of metals included in this piece, including: gold-tone stainless steel and lead/nickel free alloys. Gold-tone stainless steel is tarnish-resistant and will withstand greater exposure to sunlight and water, however, tarnishing of other metals in the necklace can be avoided with care. To avoid tarnishing, avoid contact with liquids whenever possible and let any cosmetics, lotions, or perfumes/colognes dry completely before putting on your necklace. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Keeping your jewelry in a sealed container, such as a jewelry box or plastic bag, can prevent tarnishing by limiting exposure to air, sunlight, heat, and moisture. This is best done if air is pushed out of any plastic bag before sealing and with something included to remove moisture, such as a silica pack or anti-tarnish strip. This is not an exhaustive list of anti-tarnish measures, nor are these measures a guarantee that tarnishing will not occur when worn.
