Aphrodite Devotional Pillar Candles
Aphrodite Devotional Pillar Candles
The Aphrodite Devotional Pillar Candles features Greco-Roman architecture with scents that she finds pleasing. The pink candles smell like strawberry and vanilla to bring a sweet smelling devotional to your practice with Aphrodite. The blue candle smells like a freshly rained over meadow, bringing in her aspects of both water and florals into this devotional candle. The white candles smell of sturdy, thorny rosewood and rich vanilla.
Roman scroll columns were some of the more detailed columns of the time and featured downward spiral sides that mimic the sides of a rolled-up scroll.
Acanthus leaf columns were a common motif in Greek architecture where it would evolve into curling leaves in Roman motifs. Curling acanthus-type leaves occur frequently in illuminated manuscripts of the middle ages.
Both candle styles measure 1.1 x 3.75 inches.

Prayer Card
This Prayer Card is devoted to Aphrodite Antheia: Aphrodite the Blooming or Aphrodite the Friend of Flowers. In this aspect, Aphrodite is closely associated with the vegetative cycle; in particular, with both Blooming and Withering. The primary symbol we work with in connection with Aphrodite Antheia is the Rose. While the Greeks primarily associate the Rose with Beauty, the Romans associated the Rose with both death and rebirth. As is done with tarot cards, we used different forms of symbolism to incorporate these themes into this Prayer Card.
