Our Dionysos rosary is handmade in devotion to Dionysos, the Greek god of Wine and Religious Ecstasy. Each bead is wrapped by hand with intention to welcome in Dionysos; wear this rosary to bring His blessings with you throughout your day, or pray with it to Dionysos to deepen your connection with this potent deity.

This rosary is handmade with pine wood and amethyst beads. It features 5 sections of 7 pine wood beads, plus one additional vertical section leading to the pendant. The number 5 was chosen for its connections with love and harmony triumphing over hardship and cruelty. The number 7 was chosen for its transcendent qualities, helping us to ascend to Ouranic realms and descend to Chthonic realms as needed. Pine itself is deeply connected with Dionysos and his retinue, being a specific feature in certain myths and deeply connected with the mountain wilderness Dionysos calls home. Between each section is a length of gold tone stainless steel chain and a single amethyst bead. Amethyst is deeply connected with Dionysos for its grape-like appearance and has been used historically in amulets against drunkenness, further calling in Dionysos' blessings. The center cross piece is a vintage brass stamping of two grape bunches, while the pendant is a grape bunch rendered from garnet beads.

This rosary measures 26 inches along the portion designed to be worn around the neck; it measures 9 inches from the top of the crosspiece to the bottom of the pendant.

There are a variety of metals included in this piece, including: gold-tone stainless steel, brass, and lead/nickel free alloys. Gold-tone stainless steel is tarnish-resistant and will withstand greater exposure to sunlight and water, however, tarnishing of other metals in the necklace can be avoided with care. To avoid tarnishing, avoid contact with liquids whenever possible and let any cosmetics, lotions, or perfumes/colognes dry completely before putting on your necklace. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Keeping your jewelry in a sealed container, such as a jewelry box or plastic bag, can prevent tarnishing by limiting exposure to air, sunlight, heat, and moisture. This is best done if air is pushed out of any plastic bag before sealing and with something included to remove moisture, such as a silica pack or anti-tarnish strip. This is not an exhaustive list of anti-tarnish measures, nor are these measures a guarantee that tarnishing will not occur when worn.
