The Gorgon’s Gaze hanging ward is inspired by the Gorgoneion: an apotropaic talisman featuring the head of Medusa that has been in use since antiquity. She is depicted here with her iconic serpent-hair, but also the wings at her temples that are seen in ancient Roman depictions, such as mosaics and frescoes. The Gorgon’s Gaze talisman features a gold attachment on the back to hang easily on a wall. There are two styles available: Cave Shadows and Cave Wall. Both are in a matte finish, with Cave Shadows being charcoal black and Cave Wall being made with real bonded alabaster.
