These statues of Bastet are an original design hand carved and hand painted by The Trickster's Apothecary. The design reflects elements in traditional Egyptian statuary of the goddess including earrings and the inclusion of her instrument of worship, the sistrum (in her hands).
Each statue is colored to mimic what ancient Egyptian statuary look like when discovered in our current time, complete with oxidized metals and patinas. The statue details are then brought out with hand painted with gold or black. These statues are made to comfortably fit in your hand as a means of connecting and praying to Bastet. Each is made with a bonded natural material like charcoal or iron oxide.

Oxidized statues are colorized with actual oxidized copper (teal) and iron oxide (red) to create the unique color. The charcoal statue is made with hand ground charcoal as the colorant. The garnet statue is made with genuine ground garnet as its colorant; its weight creates the unique two-tone appearance. Each statue measures 5.2 x 1 inches.
