These statues of Bastet are an original design hand carved and hand painted by The Trickster's Apothecary. The design reflects elements in traditional Egyptian statuary of the goddess including earrings and the inclusion of her instrument of worship, the sistrum (in her hands).
Each statue is colored to mimic what ancient Egyptian statuary look like when discovered in our current time, complete with oxidized metals and patinas. The statue details are then brought out with hand painted gold. These statues are made to comfortably fit in your hand as a means of connecting and praying to Bastet.
Oxidized statues are colorized with actual oxidized copper (teal) and iron oxide (red) to create the unique color. The charcoal statue is made with hand ground charcoal as the colorant. The alabaster statue is made with real bonded alabaster and is white in color. Each statue measures 5.2 x 1 inches.
