Our Hekate Enodia rosary is handmade in devotion to Hekate, the Greek goddess of Witchcraft, the Crossroads, and much, much more. Each bead is wrapped by hand with intention to welcome in Hekate. Wear this rosary to bring the energy of Hekate with you throughout your day, in devotion to this powerful goddess, and to ask for her blessing and protection.
Hekate Enodia, Hekate at the Crossroads, guards thresholds between spaces and oversees the crossroads, where magic happens and travelers pass on their grand voyages. This rosary is made with black river stone wrapped on stainless steel, with river stone representing her oceanic qualities in this aspect and black her chthonic role. Each section includes 9 walnut beads, three groupings of three for Hekate Triformis, her triple-faced aspect. Between these sections are garnet glass, symbolizing drops of blood shed in offering at the crossroads. The finish pendant on both styles available is a strophalos, one of her iconic symbols. Wear this rosary to call in Hekate Enodia, that she may bless both your travels and witchcraft.
We have two styles available: Crescent Moon and Moon Phases.
- Crescent Moon includes a stainless steel crescent moon cross piece for her lunar qualities and larger black river stone beads; it measures 25 inches around the neck and 7 inches from the top of the cross piece to the bottom of the pendant.
- Moon Phases includes a ring-shaped cross piece with the phases of the moon in relief to call in her lunar qualities as well as smaller black river stone beads; it measures 29 inches around the neck and 7.5 inches from the top of the cross piece to the bottom of the pendant.
There are a variety of metals included in this piece, including: stainless steel and lead/nickel free alloys. S steel is tarnish-resistant and will withstand greater exposure to sunlight and water, however, tarnishing of other metals in the necklace can be avoided with care. To avoid tarnishing, avoid contact with liquids whenever possible and let any cosmetics, lotions, or perfumes/colognes dry completely before putting on your necklace. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Keeping your jewelry in a sealed container, such as a jewelry box or plastic bag, can prevent tarnishing by limiting exposure to air, sunlight, heat, and moisture. This is best done if air is pushed out of any plastic bag before sealing and with something included to remove moisture, such as a silica pack or anti-tarnish strip. This is not an exhaustive list of anti-tarnish measures, nor are these measures a guarantee that tarnishing will not occur when worn.
