Our Inanna Queen of Heaven and Earth rosary is handmade in devotion to Inanna, Sumerian goddess of Love, Balance, War, Wisdom, and much, much more. Each bead is wrapped by hand with intention to welcome in Inanna. Wear this rosary to bring the energy of Inanna with you throughout your day, in devotion to this powerful goddess, and to ask for her blessing and protection.
This rosary is made with sand-tone riverstone wrapped on gold-tone stainless steel, for the triumphant return of Inanna on her boat laden with the wisdom of the world she won from Enki. Each section includes 8 riverstone beads, as 8 is a number associated with Venus, the morning and evening star that was thought to be Inanna herself. Between each section of riverstone beads is a turquoise vintage Czech glass bead with a golden, engraved star, representing Inanna as the Morning and Evening Star. The cross-piece is a crescent moon made of gold-tone stainless steel with the points raised, framing the portion of the rosary that hangs around the neck. Inanna is the daughter of the Moon and closely associated with the Bull of Heaven, called in by the upturned horns of the moon. The pendant is a brass vintage stamping of a Queen, crowned and richly robed, as Inanna is known as the Queen of Heaven and Earth.
This rosary measures 23 inches around the neck and 8 inches from the top of the cross piece to the bottom of the pendant.
There are a variety of metals included in this piece, including: gold-tone stainless steel and lead/nickel free alloys. Gold-tone stainless steel is tarnish-resistant and will withstand greater exposure to sunlight and water, however, tarnishing of other metals in the necklace can be avoided with care. To avoid tarnishing, avoid contact with liquids whenever possible and let any cosmetics, lotions, or perfumes/colognes dry completely before putting on your necklace. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Keeping your jewelry in a sealed container, such as a jewelry box or plastic bag, can prevent tarnishing by limiting exposure to air, sunlight, heat, and moisture. This is best done if air is pushed out of any plastic bag before sealing and with something included to remove moisture, such as a silica pack or anti-tarnish strip. This is not an exhaustive list of anti-tarnish measures, nor are these measures a guarantee that tarnishing will not occur when worn.
