Pocket Anubis Statue

Anubis, Jackal-headed lord of the Underworld and Overseer of the Scales, is a god of embalming and an arbiter of truth. He watches over the scales as each heart is measured against the feather of Ma’at, determining the fate of each soul. He is depicted being all black in color, the color of the fertile silt of the River Nile, as well as the discoloration of a corpse during the process applying resin in mummification. 

The pocket Anubis statue was designed and handmade by the Tricksters Apothecary and is poured in a mixture of resin and charcoal to bring up Anubis’ chthonic properties. His details are painted in gold, representing the sun god Ra and symbolically representing the heavenly afterlife. 

Each measures 3.75 x 2.25 x 1.25 inches.
