The Trickster's Apothecary
Pocket Fortuna Abundance Talisman
Pocket Fortuna Abundance Talisman
Our Pocket Fortuna abundance talisman is inspired by ancient Mediterranean intaglios: small carved crests carried or worn as amulets to bring the blessing of the Gods with you throughout your day. Our Pocket Fortuna stays true to ancient intaglios recovered in Italy in design, style, and symbology and is both hand-carved and designed by the Trickster’s Apothecary. Made in clay, this Fortuna intaglio features a traditional image of Fortuna in profile wearing an ancient Roman hair style and garment. In her right arm, she holds her classic cornucopia so full of coins that they spill out and cascade down the left side of the icon. In her left hand, she holds the boat rudder with which she steers fate, an ancient symbol of hers, with a laurel framing the top of the icon for success and good fortune.
Our pocket statuary is perfect for daily use as you go about your day and bringing your deities with you for longer duration travel. It is perfectly suited to be an altar tile, focus for meditation, or deity representation in a travel altar, altar box, or other contained altar, for those who can’t leave their altars visible for any variety of reasons.
