Last Laugh Dionysos Drink Kit

Our Last Laugh Dionysos Drink Kits include 1 antique crystal glass depicting Orchids and lily of the valleys in etching on the side, a handmade amulet for the glass, a physical copy of the recipe for a cocktail/mocktail to fill your cup, and a blessed salt mixture to salt the rim of the glass. 

In your kit, you'll receive one antique low sherbet glass; each is made with blown glass by Heisey in their discontinued Orchid pattern released circa 1940-1957. They measure 4in tall by 4in wide. 

Each delicate glass sits atop a sturdy stem and is etched along the side. They depict a beautifully rendered orchid surrounded by small wildflowers that dance along the bottom edge of the pattern around the entire glass. Between each orchid is a pair of lily of the valley, tied in the center with lovely ribbon bow. Orchids have been the center of the Last Laugh series for their connection to Dionysos in their Greek creation myth. Lilies in general are a sacred symbol of Dionysos, and he is closely tied with the mountains valleys find themselves between. They call in the wild spaces where Bacchanals are found; the very place to shake off the sadness of unjust wounds and replace that ache with the Survivor's Last Laugh.

Each antique glass comes with a handmade amulet that can be fastened around the stem of the glass. Every amulet features one real freshwater black pearl in the center, framed on either side by rhodonite and rose quartz. These crystals are attached to gold-tone stainless steel figaro chain with a lobster clasp in the back to remove the amulet while washing your chalice. These amulets hearken to the amulets and rosaries in this series by using the same material. Rhodonite is liberated from its self-sacrifice as a byproduct of silver by being paired with golden metals, helping us to set down our own self-sacrificial tendencies. Rose quartz is such a gentle pink it can be missed at first glance; its gentle color reminds us that our beauty and joy is for us alone. If others miss it, that's their loss, and nothing we should ever be concerned about. The black pearl at the center calls in both the glass pearl and garnet glass of the Last Laugh amulets. It embodies both the wound in its color and the beauty formed from it in the pearl itself.

Included in your kit is also a 0.5oz packet of blessed self-love salt, made with pink Himalayan salt, table salt, and rose petals. All elements were ground by hand by your local tricksters, gently and lovingly combined and prayed over for Dionysos's blessing. Salt is included to cleanse the ache of unjust wounds, as saline cleans a wound to prevent infection; pink salt is especially well-suited for doing this gently. It is also a grounding element, bringing us softly back to the present moment to see the distance we have from the wounding and the healing we've done since. Rose petals remind us that we have thorns to defend our beauty; we are not as defenseless as we may feel at times. Both the salt and rose petals were awoken as part of their consecration, each taught the work being asked of them and how to work together harmoniously toward that end. The salt was prayed over for Dionysos's blessing: that he may help heal the ache in your heart. 

Each kit also comes with a printed copy of the recipe for our Heal a Hurting Heart Dionysos cocktail/mocktail. Three variations of this recipe are included, so you can alter the alcohol content to suit your needs or mood that day. Blood orange honors the blood spilled in an unjust wounding, while lemon purifies and lightens a heavy heart. Pomegranate embodies earthly pleasures, the sensations that make our time on earth beautiful despite any hurt. The purpose of other ingredients is written on the recipe card for you to discover!
